5 Ways To Improve Your Life Now!

Life can be beautiful especially when you are doing what you love, are surrounded by family, and most importantly, have your health. But what happens when your life becomes imbalanced?

Our fast-paced world keeps everyone really busy. It’s no wonder people start to feel overwhelmed, run down, and disconnected when trying to balance work, family life, activities, school, and a growing “to do” list.

Lack of Mindfulness

The problem is that the busier we become, the less time we have for self-care, mindfulness, and meaningful connections.

Many people live day-to-day without ever thinking about where they are going, why they are not moving forward, and if they are HAPPY.

Lack of mindfulness leads to becoming less in tune with our bodies, emotional needs and the needs of our loved ones. We become less intentional with our thoughts and actions and we’re not aware of what is happening around us…

Mind & Spirit:

  • Spiritual Connection: Spirituality and religion are different but not necessarily exclusive from each other. Cultivating a spiritual practice means connecting with something higher than oneself. It comes from deep within. It’s your way of loving, accepting, and relating to the world and people around you. A meaningful spiritual connection can help clarify your WHY, your beliefs, what you value the most, and your non-negotiables in life. This leads to a clear view of where you want to go, what you want to do, and WHY you are doing it. Connecting with Spirit will make your WHY, purpose, passions, and personal talents clear… leading the way to a happier life.
  •  Practice Gratitude Daily: Nothing will change your life faster than giving thanks. A daily gratitude practice helps you become aware of all of the blessings in your life. It improves your mood, increases positive feelings, and shifts your mind’s energy from what you don’t have to an abundance mindset. Thoughts of lack only create more lack and negativity. Noticing all of the abundance in your life and giving thanks for all of it, you enter a state of gratitude. This states opening the doors to abundance and endless possibilities.
  • Let go of negativity: In order to be truly happy, you need to clean out all of the things that create negativity in your life. Let go of negative people, comparison, judgment, and things that don’t make you happy. This healthy process frees up the physical, mental, and emotional energy that has been wasted on negativity. Having a positive attitude and outlook on life will attract more positivity. You enter a state flow where anything and everything is possible. Simply put, positivity cultivates happiness and joy leading to a fulfilling, meaningful life.


  • Self-care: Self-care is extremely important but one of the first things we neglect when busy. Self-care is an act of self-love that will nurture, restore and recharge your mind, body and establish meaningful connections. Spending 5 minutes per day to give thanks, meditate, and turn off electronics can make a difference in your day. Set a special “me” time once per week or once per month to do anything that can help you establish a self-care routine (get a massage, pedicure, read a book) will make a difference in your life. When you feel good, you look great. When you look and feel great, your thoughts and actions support that feeling-great state. Don’t underestimate the importance of self-care.
  • Diet & Exercise: Mind, body, and emotions are interconnected and in order to achieve long-lasting health and wellness we need to take care of all three. Choosing healthy nourishing meals over-processed, fast food, and empty calories will improve your health and outlook on life drastically. You are what you eat. Feeding your body healthy and nutritious meals is an act of self-care. Plan the week’s menu (especially when busy)helping you reduce bad choices when hunger strikes.
  • Exercising, moving your body and implementing some type of physical routine is key to improving your health and life. Practicing Yoga or exercising at least 3 times per week will boost your energy levels, improve your sleep patterns, and boost your metabolism. Exercising increases the production of endorphins (feel good hormones) in the body. It brings more oxygen into the body, reduces stress, improves circulation, and much more. 

    Individually, any of these 5 things can improve your life, but when you combine them, you build incredible momentum that propels you forward in the right direction. Each step is taking you closer to living fully, purposefully, and happy!
