What is natural wellness? Wellness can be described as the condition of being in optimum health. Natural wellness it’s a holistic blend of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being that comes as the result of consciously choosing to improve the quality of your life.
I love this simple chart from Dr. Mercola showing us how we can support our bodies for optimal function and overall wellness naturally and effectively.
Many of you know how much I love using essential oils because they are safe and super easy to use.
Here is a list of my favorite oils that can support each of the following body functions.
EYES – LEMONGRASS (do not apply essential oils on eyes)
BRAIN – FRANKINCENSE (apply at base of skull and forehead)
LUNGS – EUCALYPTUS (apply topically or diffuse)
HEART – YLANG YLANG (apply topically on chest area)
STOMACH – GINGER (dilute with carrier oils if applying topically)
INTESTINES – CARDAMOM (add 1-2 drops to your coffee or tea)
SKIN – GERMANIUM (apply topically)
JOINTS – WINTERGREEN (dilute with carrier oil for sensitive skin, elderly and children)
There are 3 ways to use essential oils:
- Aromatic: Our sense of smell influences many physiological pathways making aromatherapy a powerful delivery system to improve mood, energy levels and more.
- Topical: The chemical structure of essential oils allows them to be absorbed into the bloodstream via the skin within 30 seconds. This is a great way to receive the benefits of essential oils in a quick, safe and localized manner.
- Internal: Certain essential oils are generally regarded as being safe for dietary use, but some oils should not be taken internally. Only use essential oils labeled therapeutic grade, pure and marked for dietary use.
